Wow! Have I ever been busy over this last week. So many things to do and I got so much done! I'm kind of proud of myself! (Pats self on shoulder). I bet you're wondering what I was up to this week, right?
Well, if you follow along with me on Instagram and Twitter you'll know that I did some planning for this week in my Websters Pages Planner, I did some watercolor paintings, started a knitting project and started the Father's Day Card for my dad! I know! So much stuff! But it's just so much fun!
First, let me show you what my planner looks like from last week! I was super busy since my sister had surgery and needed some help getting around. Then I had to start work on Friday again. Boo. Weekend shifts suck!

So let's move on to what else I did this week with some photos of my watercolor paintings. I made these to replace the pictures that my mom has 'misplaced!' I put that in quotes because I think she went on one of her cleaning binges and threw them out accidentally. So now I have three new paintings for her living room. I am using the Strathmore Mixed Media book (6x8) and just mark them down to 4x6 so they will fit in a picture frame. These were super fun to make!
The Hollyhock painting was based off the painting that Lindsay Weirich did on her YouTube channel, The Frugal Crafter. You can click the link to go and check it out and paint along with her. It was a simple and easy painting to do! And you just need three colors!
I also just played around trying to make some smaller prints. In case you can't tell, the one on the left is a lilac and the right is supposed to be an artistic dandelion fluff. It didn't really turn out, but I still thought it was kind of pretty! I like the lilac, but I think I may have just used too many shades of purple. Good reminder: Less is more!
I also had some dishcloths that I needed to pack up and send on their road trip out to Victoria with my aunt. I made some cute little tags using my tag punch, then simply decorated with a stamp and a piece of my new washi tape! Isn't that washi tape gorgeous! 💜
I also went on a minor Michaels shopping trip. By minor, I mean less than $40. I only went there to get a circle stencil for some drawing projects and ended up finding a big roll of washi tape (thought it was on sale, but the sign was in the wrong place! Boo!), more washi (I needed more purples!!!), a stencil and a bunch of stuff from the Michaels Dollar bins. I thought it was a pretty good trip all over. Although, I did go back the next day and buy more stuff with another 50% off coupon! I just needed more stuff!
So the reason for the Michaels rant is that I had to change my washi tape layout and ended up cutting some foam board and making a little tray! I'll put another blog post on here later this week on how I made it! Maybe I'll even film it. You never know!

Now, as I mentioned above, my sister had surgery last week and I made her this sweet little card. I saw something like this on Pinterest and I just jazzed it up a bit. I used an actual bandaid for this card and glued on some cute little googly eyes! Just too cute! I then threw on some patterned paper I had and some punched out hearts and sequins. The hardest part for me was the sentiment. After stamping and heat embossing 8 different colors, some just color, some glittery, etc, I decided on the silver. I thought it added a bit of glitz to it! If I was redoing this I wouldn't have choosen the flower pattern paper for this project. It's just a bit too much going on. I think I should have choosen either the blue or purple from the background and then stamped on it. Well it's done now anyway, and my sister loved it!
And last, but not least, some Star Was drawings. I want to make my dad a Star Wars card for Father's Day as we are both big fans and I think he'll love it. I drew these out on 3x3 pieces of cardstock that I just marked off for now. I'll trim down later. At this point I was just inking in the lines and next week you'll get to see just how cool it all turned out!
Also, the sheets on my clipboard are from Boho Berry. I'm trying to get a little better at handwriting and wanted some different font samples! Check out her websites for the free printable sheets!
I hope everyone is having a great week, and that you're enjoying the weather. Hopefully next week I'll have my knitting done and I can show you what I've done!
Happy Crafting! And don't forget to plan!
