While watching the show, I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been. I thought at first that I had miscounted as I got closer to the 40 stitches but then I noticed a dropped stitch about 4 rows down and was continuing to fall. I pulled out my crochet hook and watched a YouTube video on picking up dropped stitches in garter stitch. The only problem was that I had the bar of yarn on the wrong side of the stitch so when I picked it up, it's in the middle of two rows instead of lined up. Oops! 😳 I don't think anyone will really notice (at least I hope they won't!).
I also ran out of the dark purple yarn and started on my light purple and have a cloth that is half dark, half light. I think it still looks good though.
Way too long scarf!!!
Note to the wise; measure before you knit. And remember that knitting is stretchy so it will probably get bigger or longer.
Good luck in your knitting adventures!
